WPC doors and chaukhats in Kanpur
The door for the openings that get wet. A wood polymer composite core that does not swell, rot or draw termites, in a plain face or laminated on both sides — and WPC chaukhats to hang it in, so the frame holds up as well as the door.
Open Monday to Saturday
What a WPC door is.
Wood fibre bound into a polymer, so the door behaves more like a plastic than a plank when water gets at it.
A wood polymer composite core
Wood flour mixed with PVC resin and foamed into a dense sheet. There is no timber frame inside and no battens with gaps between them — the shutter is solid all the way through.
Water does not get into it
The polymer seals the wood fibre in, so a wet day, a wet week or a wet floor does not swell the door, lift its edges or rot its foot.
Nothing for a termite to eat
Termites and borers go for wood they can reach. In WPC the fibre is locked inside the polymer, which is why it is the door, and the frame, for termite-prone ground floors.
Made to your size
WPC doors are made to the opening on order and are ready in about four working days. Send the frame size on WhatsApp and we’ll take it from there.
Plain or laminated.
The same core either way. The difference is only in the face, and in which rooms it has to match.
-
Plain WPC — for the rooms nobody dresses up
A clean, even face that is easy to wipe down. The sensible door for bathrooms, toilets, the wash area and the utility, where it is there to be used rather than looked at.
-
Laminated WPC — when the bathroom door faces the bedroom
Laminate pressed on both faces, so the door arrives finished and can match the rest of the house. The usual choice when a bathroom opens off a bedroom or a lobby and the door is on show.
-
Want a design in the face?
Z-on’s grooving and digital print designs also come on a WPC leaf, if a plain or laminated face is too quiet for the room.
A waterproof door in a wooden frame is half a job.
Most of our doors are sold as the door leaf only, so the chaukhat is bought separately. In a bathroom, that choice matters as much as the door.
-
The frame is where the water sits
Mopping water and shower splash collect at the foot of the chaukhat, day after day. A wooden frame takes it in from the bottom, swells and rots there first — and a door can only hang as true as the frame it is hung in.
-
WPC chaukhats, from the same counter
We sell WPC chaukhats. They don’t swell or draw termites, so they pair well with any door, and especially in bathrooms. Order the door and the frame together and they arrive together.
-
Not just for WPC doors
A WPC chaukhat suits a flush, laminated or membrane door too, anywhere the floor gets washed or the wall stays damp. Tell us the doors and we’ll say which frames are worth it.
Where it’s used.
Anywhere water, damp or termites would finish off a wooden door.
Bathrooms and toilets
The opening it is made for. Splashed every day, mopped at the foot, and steamed every morning.
Wash areas and utility rooms
Washing machines, buckets and wet floors. A plain WPC face takes it and wipes clean.
Hostels, hospitals and institutions
Rows of toilet blocks that get washed down hard and still have to look the same in five years.
Damp and termite-prone ground floors
Rooms where the wall stays damp through the monsoon, or where termites have already eaten one set of doors.
Where it is not the answer.
WPC is the best door we sell for water. That doesn’t make it the best door for every opening.
-
The main door
A main door is about strength and security first. For that opening we’d point you to a heavy flush door such as Century Club Prime rather than WPC, and keep the WPC for the wet rooms behind it.
-
Hard sun all day
A face that sits in direct sun for hours every day can fade over time. A covered balcony or utility is fine; a door on an open terrace is not its job.
-
Fitting it like timber
Hinges and locks hold well in WPC, but drill a pilot hole for every screw and don’t overtighten. Driven in hard like a nail into wood, a screw can split the face. If your carpenter hasn’t hung one before, we’ll talk him through it.

Help with fitting
We send a fitter or guide your carpenter, depending on the order.
Questions we get asked.
Is a WPC door really waterproof?
Yes. The polymer seals the wood fibre in, so the door doesn't swell, rot or lift at the edges however often it gets wet. Hang it in a WPC chaukhat so the frame holds up as well.
Will a WPC door get termites?
No. WPC doesn't attract termites or borers, which makes it a good door and frame for damp, termite-prone ground floors.
Can a WPC door be used as the main door?
We don't recommend it. A main door needs strength and security first, so we'd suggest a heavy flush door there and WPC for the bathrooms and wet areas.
Do screws and hinges hold in WPC?
Yes, as long as the carpenter drills a pilot hole for each screw and doesn't overtighten. We can guide your carpenter if he hasn't hung one before.
Does the door come with the chaukhat?
No, the door is sold as the leaf only. We sell WPC chaukhats separately, and you can order both together.
Can I get a custom size?
Yes. WPC doors are made to your size on order and take about 4 working days. Send the frame size on WhatsApp.
What warranty do WPC doors carry?
Our WPC doors carry a 10-year warranty.
Doors for the bathroom?
Send the frame sizes, how many, and whether you need the chaukhat too. The rate comes back on WhatsApp the same day.
